Hey thepinkman right? I just finished L2 as well. I took a GMAT Prep diag first, just to see where I am and how long I need to study. I think that's the best first step. You need to see how much junior high/high school math you still remember, how good you are at verbal stuff, etc.
Most people recommend anywhere from 2 - 4 months of study time. The thing with GMAT is scheduling is very flexible, so you can just sign up for the exam when you're ready. I started studying this week, and I'm planning on about 12 or 13 weeks of total study time. I think after 4 - 6 weeks, you'll be able to gauge how much more you need to study, and then you can just sign up!
Also, you'll see that GMAT is really a stroll through the park compared to L2. I scored 680 on my diagnostic, which I think is already above 90th percentile. I'm trying to get to 99.
Good luck.
