If your GMAT score is among the highest ones, then any B school should be generous enough to grant you admission. Many of the school in various states can be chosen from.

Thanks JF for the reply.

Yeah I am planning to retake again .But at the same time I want to start applying to decent Schools (atleast in the top 100) . Can u suggest some B school in US with 570 Score for an admit.

Also if I get a good score in my retake then I will try for Spring Intake 2016 . I dont want to delay on starting with my MBA ( for some reasons) . And that the main reason for the speed up in process.( I know I must not take MBA so hasty But I really wanted to Start my MBA by fall 2015)

I guess there are only very few good B school which has Spring Intake .
Few that I know are .
University of Rochester, Simon.

Regards.
hanschris

Well the main question is then: What are your reasons?
Because if you apply with a 570, I'm sure you will find some programs that you can get into. But they won't be good ones. So is it worth it? Would it be better to wait? How much of a higher score can you get?

Lots of open questions here...

Best,
Jon

Well Jon ,
Let me answer.

What are your reasons?

Well I have worked for few years in Corporate and Now I am going to join my Dad for Business - he getting old too , so I need to help him .
So I need to get back to Business ASAP , not delaying a year again . So Maybe at max, I might work after post graduation in Corporate for a year - just for experience .

Can u elaborate on Good ones . I mean they wont good --- what do u mean by that . In what terms. Is it totally BAD ---or not useful at all . Please elaborate .

So is it worth it?
I really don't know about that .

Would it be better to wait?
I don't have that option of waiting for another year . I need to start by Fall 2015 or at least by Spring intake 2016 -Jan or Feb .

How much of a higher score can you get?

Well I can easily get 630-650 ...I just missed it again in my second attempt .
But I will be working hard to achieve a 700 + within 2 month .

Regards.

I have 2 business degrees already. I have a bachelors in business administration and an AS in general business. I was thinking about doing a major change. I could get into computer engineer through Auburn if I just complete 5 additional courses since I have no computer science background. Or should I go ahead and get a MBA with a concentration in Info systems? All help would be helpful. Thanks to all who responds.

Any B school in the state would be willing to take the best of sectional scores on GMAT, if the marks are exceptional, then this should not be a matter of concern.

Dear Hans,
Well, if you are going to a Bschool SOLELY for the learning, a lower ranked Bschool might suffice for you. If however you want to get the networking, the career options, the prestige that comes from having a top diploma, then you gotta apply with the BEST possible GMAT you can get. I don't mean that you HAVE TO have a 770, but you should at least be applying with a score that you feel is about as high as you can get yourself.

Since you feel you have to move quick, I'd say January intakes (like HEC, INSEAD.. of which there are many in Europe) should still be an option for you, but have a close look at the deadlines...

If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to contact me,
Best,
Jon
