Hii,
I want to shortlist a bschool that has a January term and is a one year program. I am looking forward to a career in corporate finance. Presently I am working in banking industry and have an experience of 3.5 years.
Please guide...

Thank you for your post. The most notable MBA programs in the financial sector that offer j-term are Columbia, INSEAD, and HEC Paris. Other programs include IE Business School, Ivey, Queens, etc. Can you share a bit more about your background as far as academics (including GMAT/GRE), professional experience, and professional goals? I have a GPA of 4 and my present GMAT score is 670 but I am going to attempt again because I want to increase my score above 700.
I work in retail banking as a Service Operations manager.
In future I look forward to a career in corporate finance.

Hi Mrinalika27,

Your GPA is great! While the J-term is less competitive than the Fall term, these programs are highly ranked, so I agree with retaking the GMAT and try and reach the 700 overall score. Because you are targetting a career in Corporate Finance, the institutions brand matters, so I recommend looking at the globally recognized b-schools, like Columbia, INSEAD, and HEC Paris. In addition to the GMAT score, you want to take the time to showcase to the target institution your values and background, the reason you have chosen the target b-schools (aside from ranking and offering J-Term), and how they combined will help you succeed in the chosen career.
