I'm 22 years old. Just completed my engineering in computer science 2 months ago. I absolutely hated it.
So, anyhow I was always interested in finance and now I'm looking to do a Finance course esp MS in Finance from US/UK/Australia/New Zealand/Canada.
First I wanted to go to USA but seeing USA's economy being worst hit, I'm having second doubts. People are losing their jobs, hunting for jobs but hardly getting any calls, etc etc. USA seems to be a sad place right now (conclusion drawn from what media reports these days)

So which country has best job prospects for a Finance guy?

Short answer: none!

Long answer: finance will never go back to pre-2008 levels. Even now that recruitment has slowly improved, you must remember that there are tons of people with a lot of experience willing to work for pennies. They will hire them before a newbie. Now, visas are a major pain in the arse. Unless you are American or European, working respectively in NY or London, there isn't really much hope.

Finance is a pretty general term.
In the banking industry specifically, US banks are fairing pretty well compare to the Euro banks. Barclays and Deutsche Banks used to be big players now, they have fallen off the wayside a bit.
