Hi viper1991,

You can read reviews of all of those Courses here:

https://gmatclub.com/reviews/?fl=menu

Also, most GMAT Companies offer some type of free materials (practice problems, Trial Accounts, videos, etc.) that you can use to 'test out' a product before you buy it. We have a variety of those resources at out site (https://www.empowergmat.com). I suggest that you take advantage of all of them then choose the one that best matches your personality, timeline and budget.

Hi Rich!
Just to let you know that i decided to join EMPOWERGmat family. On Tuesday i took real GMAT once again and scored much lower than i did in December (i got 540 this time (Q41, V24)). So i took time to mull over different options and i came to the conclusion that self-study is not the best way. At least for me. Self-study can help you to reach certain level but if you want to get higher you should ask experts who know how to crush the GMAT. So i decided to buy your course and there are a few reasons. First of all, i am impressed with your explanations here in GMAT club. Second, paying scheme is convenient for me. Moreover, i don't work now so i have much time to prepare for another run at GMAT. Third, i read course reviews and was impressed with the progress that other customers did. I am not targeting more than 700, i will happy to get at most 700 (of course i won't be displeased with a higher score=)) and i am sure that this goal is realistic. I am ready to work as much as possible to reach my goal. And as a person with economic background i know that there are no ideal decisions and only trial and error methods can help you to understand what is good for you and what is not (this relates to course selection dilemma). So i opted for EMPOWERGmat and hope that i won't be disappointed with the final score. I am a little bit in a loss with a lot of new info that i have to face (Score Booster, Study Plan) but i hope to work it out soon and start my amazing journey. At least i can e-mail company's expert if i have a question. So i am excited and see you online=))

Hi Konstantin1983,

We've helped thousands of Test Takers to improve their GMAT scores and you're not the first Test Taker to try an approach that didn't quite work out, so there's no shame in that. Thankfully Business Schools don't care if you take the GMAT more than once AND the GMAT is still the same standardized, predictable Test that it's always been, so you CAN train to score at a higher level.

If you can tell me a bit more about your overall timeline/plans, then I should be able to recommend a Study Plan that will fit your situation:

1) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
2) Do you know which Schools you want to apply to?
3) Do you have any particular 'areas' that you think you need to focus on?

Hi Rich!
Thanks for your help!
And here is a breakdown of what i want and what i have.
1.I hope to apply this fall (or may be in the winter). Of course i hope that i will have good GMAT grade by that time.
2. A list of schools: Kellogg, Cornell, LBS, IMD, IE and ESADA (i am looking for 1-year program). Minor changes are possible.
3. Well i think i need to revise Verbal section. I can't say that i have problems with English (though i am not a native speaker). English is my second native language after Russian=)). But nevertheless i have problems in all Verbal sections so i need to find a system that is for me. As for Quantitative i can say i am good in Equations, Arithmetic, Algebra (i.e sections that require mere calculations or work with variables). But i have to work more on Word problems, Distance, Probability and Geometry.I have a basic understanding about all this things but i need to solve more complex problems.
P.S I have a few questions about my Study plan but i think i will send an e-mail using your site. Hope i provided you all the information you need Rich!

Hi Konstantin1983,

Based on your timeline and strengths/weaknesses, you could approach this next round of studies in a couple of different ways. I highly recommend that you do ALL of the Stage 1 assignments in the Course, since that section introduces a number of important strategies and tactics that you'll use throughout your studies (regardless of which areas you emphasize).

It looks like you have the time to work through the full 3-month Study Plan if you choose, but you don't have to commit to that timeline immediately. Once you get through the first few weeks and complete Stage 1, then we'll have a better sense of how well you're progressing and can decide from there.
