Hi all,
I am 39 years old. I have taken GMAT once and got 690. My target colleges were top 10 colleges in USA. But due to low score i was not able to gather courage to apply to them as it would not be possible for me to pursue MBA without scholarship. I am not happy at my current position as the physical and mental working environment of my job is not good. I am working in mining industry. As i have not yet applied to any college, I would be able to join college in 2025, when i would be 40 and half years. I want to start my own company in EdTech sector and hope to take it to unicorn status by the next decade. But as mining locations are situated mostly in remote areas, I do not have access to even the basic amenities such as market analysis , networking and investments. Also, i lack the tools to do these effectively. That's why i want to get my MBA.
I would like to know if MBA would be the right option for me or am I too old for it.
I have decided to take GMAT one final time by January end. As I have prior experience of old GMAT format, should i go for old format or should i take the new one. Will one and half month be ok. How to prepare for the GMAT. Kindly suggest.

What have been your section scores on the classic GMAT?
Also, would you please provide more details on how you have prepared so far?
Finally, one simple move you could make is to take a GMAT Focus Edition practice test and see how you do. Seeing your performance on a GFE practice test would help you to decide which test to take.

I took this test a year ago. I have been thinking of taking it again but am not able to study much due to job and family commitments. I got this score a year ago. Since then I have not been studying much.
As far preparation is concerned, I have done mostly self preparation mostly on gmatclub. I used to solve questions on gmatclub. I think i lack in Critical reasoning and RC. I take lot of time on RC and in CR i get half of 700+ questions wrong, which is reason for low score on CR. For RC I have solved 8 set 700+ questions(hardest gmat question thread) in last two days with around 85 percent accuracy.
In new version, I think i am not very good at MSR questions. So my score may suffer on IR. And my familarity with old version is also important reason why I am a bit inclined towards the older version.
Also I need to know if my age will be a roadblock towards my MBA at top 10 US colleges?
Kindly guide
