Guys please give in your inputs as the selection between these 2 colleges have been really difficult for me. I'm not clear about what advantages CEMS has over the MIM Course at ESSEC and how spending just one year at Barcelona and the other in some other country turn out for me in comparison to spending both the years at Paris(ESSEC).

Welcome to Gmatclub. I do not know much about CEMS programs but can strongly suggest ESSEC's MiM programs. It is part of Grande Ecole and is highly reputed in Europe and somewhat in the world. If I remember well, ESSEC is at No. 3 in the world for MiM program.
I would recommend you to -
1. Check the curriculum of both programs
2. Try to connect with current students and alumni. Get their feedback of the school, programs, reputation, employment opportunities, etc
3. Make a wise decision

I would like to start off by assuring you that both are amazing schools and have a global reputation as well.
ESADE is one of the best schools in Spain to study from and the same can be said for ESSECs Grande Ecole Program in France,
However, if you have to compare the two programs I would definitely urge you to go with ESSECs Grande Ecole because of the reputation the school holds in France as well as in Europe and their average salaries post Masters being higher than ESADE.
To give you an overview of what the two programs consist of, I shall start with the ESADE CEMS program which is a 2-year program that provides an opportunity to acquire two highly precious qualifications, the second degree being the prestigious CEMS Masters in International Management.
Coming over to ESSEC Grande Ecole, it has a similar 2-year full-time program, which you can start either in France or Singapore, it has been ranked 3rd in the 2019 FT Rankings and offers a double degree program from top institutions such as Queens, IIM Ahmedabad, and Bocconi Graduate School.
I would also suggest you go through the program curriculums offered by both the schools and ideally go for the one which best suits your interests and aligns perfectly with your future goals,
As France and Spain heavily rely upon their country language in terms of jobs, you can choose which language you are more interested in learning and take a call accordingly.
I would personally go with ESSEC Grande Ecole Program because of its wide recognition outside Europe and its current university rankings.
