Which is greater, x or 1/x ?

I. 4x^2 =1

II. (x-1/2)(x+2) = 0

A) x = 1/2, -1/2; 1/x = 2, -2
x = 0.5, -0.5; 1/x=2, -2
x is greater for -0.5 but smaller for +0.5. So no solution.

B) x = 0.5, -2; 1/x= 2, -0.5

1/x is greater when x=0.5 and 1/x is greater when x=-2. So SUFFICIENT.

B.
