Stat 1
4*x^2 = 1
<=> x= 1/2 or x= -1/2
o If x= 1/2, 1/x > x
o If x= -1/2, x > 1/x
INSUFF
Stat 2
(x-1/2)(x+2) = 0
<=> x= 1/2 or x= -2
o If x= 1/2, 1/x > x
o If x= -2, 1/x > x
SUFF
Stat 1

thus x = - or + 1/2 and thus 1/x could be -2 or 2
if x is -ve thus x>1/x if x is +ve the opposite is true ....insuff
from two
x = 1/2 or -2 , 1/x = 2 or -1/2 either ways 1/x>x...suff
My answer is B
