Sorry if this is off topic, I'm new here.
I'm planning to do my 1. try on GMAT around late november this year, and looking into prep materials. I've been recommended to get the OG GMAT set and a manhattan one. But there are 2 manhattan packs:
This is newer, but has pretty bad reviews, complaining about typos and bad questions; All the GMAT: Content Review + 6 Online Practice Tests + Effective Strategies to Get a 700+ Score (Manhattan Prep GMAT Strategy Guides) Paperback – September 3, 2019 -amazon ,
while this: Complete GMAT Strategy Guide Set (Manhattan Prep GMAT Strategy Guides) Paperback – December 2, 2014 amazon
is a bit older, but has better reviews. Which one would you recommend? Or is there a better alternative?
Are physical books recommended over pdf, like is writing inside the books encouraged, or it's up to personal choice and doesn't matter?
Also anything else to get other than OG and manhattan? My goal is 720-740.

Many GMATers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, but a planned Test Date sometime in November would give you just 2-3 months of potential study time. Considering your Score Goal, you might need to push back that planned Test Date to make sure that you have enough time to properly hone all of the skills needed to earn that type of Score.
The OG books are great sources for practice questions, but they're not designed to teach you Tactics, patterns or the little 'secrets' behind the GMAT - for those, you'll need Course-oriented materials. To that end, you should work on the OG a little later on in your studies. You would probably be fine using any of the books that you have listed, but GMATers who use a "book heavy" study plan often end up getting 'stuck' at a particular score level. Even the best books are limited in what they can teach you; they also can't force you to approach questions in a certain way and their explanations are often one-sided. You can certain start-off your studies with the books that you're referring to, but you will likely need to invest in some additional, non-book study materials at some point during your studies.
Since it sounds like you're just beginning your studies, then it would be a good idea to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test; you can take 2 for free at www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). If you want to do a little studying first, so that you can familiarize yourself with the basic content and question types, then that's okay - but you shouldn't wait too long to take that initial CAT. That score will give us a good sense of your natural strengths and weaknesses and will help provide a basis for comparison as you continue to study. A FULL CAT takes about 3.5 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back here and we can come up with a study plan.
I'd like to know a bit more about your timeline and goals:
1) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
2) Going forward, how many hours do you think you can consistently study each week?
