Which number is a solution for x/4 + 5/ 4= x/8+ 3?

A. −14
B. −7
C. 0
D. 7
E. 14

Here you can solve quickly by algebraic method however other way is by substitute method

The only value for satisfying x/4 + 5/ 4= x/8+ 3 is 14

Hence E
