We can start by simplifying the inequality for when |3p – 4| < 1.
Let’s first simplify for when (3p - 4) is positive.
3p - 4 < 1
3p < 5
p < 5/3
Next, let’s solve for when (3p - 4) is negative.
-(3p - 4) < 1
-3p + 4 < 1
-3p < -3
p > 1
Thus, 1 < p < 5/3.
Answer: B

set the point as p=1 and p=5/3 as shown below in number line
