A. ( 10 root 3 )^2 = 300
B. ( 9 root 4 )^2 = 324
C. ( 8 root 5 )^2 = 320
D. ( 7 root 6 )^2 = 294

324 > 320 > 300 > 294 > 252
So, root 324 = ( 9 root 4 ) is the greatest.
Choice B. is the correct answer.

This video has a similar explanation as most of the answers in this thread, but the tutor simplifies it further in his explanation. This will save us time on the exam.

Every sqrt from 2 till 8 is 2."some digit".
Like sqrt 5 is 2.25, sqrt 6 is 2.4. Post We can take all of them as 2 only.
Now multiply with the digit outside. 9*2 will always exceed 6*2 or 7*2.
B is the right choice.
