How is one point a possibility here? A/c to the question, circle should intersect two parallel lines but if it intersects only one of the parallel lines then isn't it against what is asked in the question?

I think your issue might stem from the wording of the question, which is "a circle can intersect two parallel lines?".

You seem to be assuming the question asks "a circle intersects BOTH parallel lines"

The challenge with the higher level questions is sometime in the wording!

I also misread the question at first, so I a rule of thumb I like to follow for higher level questions is "if it seems too simple you probably misread it!"

Is the OA correct here?
How can "a circle" intersect "two parallel lines" at 1 point?

oh is it like 2 lines back to back with one common point and a circle passing through this point?

The OA is correct, you are interpreting the question incorrectly, think of it this way - there are two parallel lines L1 and L2 - at how many points can a circle intersect them? It isn't necessary that circle should intersect both lines, it could only intersect L1 at 1 or 2 points, or L1 and L2 both at 1, 2, 3, or 4 points. Refer to the picture of the solution attached by Charli08 above.

" a circle can intersect two parallel lines"

It clearly says one circle intersect 2 parallel lines. I'm not sure how you reached the conclusion that it isn't necessary.
