Solution:
We can solve this problem easily by making the numerator of each fraction the same. In this case, let's make the numerator 1 and then let's compare the denominator of each fraction.
The fraction with the smallest denominator will have the highest value
- • Option A: \(\frac{3}{11} = \frac{\frac{3}{3}}{\frac{11}{3}}=\frac{1}{3.67}\)
• Option B: \(\frac{1}{4}\), In this case, the numerator is already \(1\).
• Option C: \(\frac{8}{33} = \frac{\frac{8}{8}}{\frac{33}{8}}=\frac{1}{4.125}\)
• Option D: \(\frac{7}{25}=\frac{\frac{7}{7}}{\frac{25}{7}}=\frac{1}{3.57}\)
• Option E: \( \frac{2}{15} = \frac{\frac{2}{2}}{\frac{15}{2}}=\frac{1}{7.5}\)
Since the denominator of Option D is smallest, \(\frac{7}{25}\) is the greatest amongst given numbers.
Hence, the correct answer is Option D.

I) Compare A and B by cross multiply - \(\frac{3}{11}\) and\( \frac{1}{4}\) => 12 and 11 => \(\frac{3}{11}\) is greater
II) Compare \(\frac{3}{11}\) or \(\frac{9}{33}\) with \(\frac{8}{33}\) => \(\frac{9}{33}\) or \(\frac{3}{11}\) is greater
III) Compare \(\frac{3}{11}\) with \(\frac{7}{25}\) by cross multiply => 75 and 77 =>\( \frac{7}{25}\) is greater
IV) Finally, compare \(\frac{7}{25}\) with \(\frac{2}{15}\) by cross multiply => 105 and 50 => \(\frac{7}{25}\) is the greatest of all
Answer - D
