E option As 123/850

Now compare all fraction A has smallest denominator so fraction (A) will give greater value


Keep in mind all numerators are same

We are actually looking for the fraction with the smallest value here. All numerators are the same (246/1700 = 123/850). Therefore we are looking for the fraction with the greatest denominator.

877 is the greatest denominator. Therefore answer D.
