Yes Alberta's economy is heavily dependent on the oil and gas industries for decades. There is also the livestock and agricultural industries. The province is attempting to diversify but this is at very early stages.

Manitoba is to the east of Alberta, cold and quite isolated. Similar to Alberta, there is much O&G, livestock and agricultural activity, especially in fertilizers.

Ontario is the nation's largest and most populous province. A variety of industries function: technology, education, media, entertainment, construction, legal, publishing and tourism, among other smaller ones. It is situated close to the US border and enjoys easier access.
