Hint: The 99th percentile score. The sectional scores do not matter really for Schools and GMAT rankings (where many things fee into, or at least has been feeding to in the past).
You can ignore IR and AWA. They have as much importance as your address on the score report... frankly, your address has a lot more importance since it will feed into how representative/under-representative your profile is.

Congrats on both scores!

Hi GMATillIdie,

First off, both your 750 and 760 are outstanding Scores (it's right around the 80th percentile overall), so you can comfortably apply to ANY Schools with either Score. Assuming that you are planning to apply to some highly-competitive Programs, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

Hi all,

A quick question for the group. I took the GMAT for the second time and am wondering which of my scores to report:
Score 1: 750 (Q49, V44), IR8, AWA5
Score 2: 760 (Q49, V44), IR7, AWA5

I'm assuming score 2, but given that it has exactly the same Q and V scores as test 1 and a lower IR, I wanted to double check.

Many thanks!

Hi GMATillIdie

The direct impact of IR and AWA scores on your admission is pretty low. In fact, some schools don’t even look at your IR and AWA scores till the point you meet a bare minimum. Hence, I would recommend to go with the second one.

Feel free to reach out if you need any help with the applications process!
