Sorry for hijacking this thread but I'm here in Cleveland, Ohio and the management has made plans to let us know if we don't have to come in to work tomorrow morning. Nothing like having the bank shut down for a day. There are going to be a lot of pissed off people on Valentines day.

I grew up in the DC area and they often shut down schools and government jobs at the sight of a snowflake. It was the best! We got snow days all the time! For no reason! Sadly, in Boston, where it snows all winter (except this year) we are expected to get our arses into work in blizzard conditions.

I miss that about DC.

I just got an email telling me that the Chicago office of our company is open tomorrow - I'd venture there's at least a foot and a half of snow outside, maybe more, and its still snowing. Cars are skidding around.

I also got an email that the DC branch office is closed effective immediately pending further updates.

LOL.

Wow, I just got a notice that our office is closing. So much for the 1% chance.

96. I was a senior in high school, we had 3-4 feet of snow that paralyzed the area. I think we were out of school for a whole week.

Unfortunately the snow day as an adult means working from home
