Hi. It’s a good idea on the surface but it usually ends badly. Think about it. Why should one ride only one bicycle? Or drink from only one cup? Why only attend a single MBA program? Why only have one spouse? Or work only one job? :-)

I think the same and supplies to why you should only stick with one course. Usually you will not do a good enough job taking two courses and two sources at the same time. Usually the courses will also contain pretty much the exact same information but presented in different ways so you’re likely to lose attention and miss out on a lot of important topics because you think you know them but in reality You didn’t go deep enough in the course. I would say the final score would be less than what you would get if you were taking just a single course but you are of course welcome to prove me wrong :-)

What I would suggest is that instead of two courses take a half of one. Only take the area you need to help with. If you’re bad quant then take a quad course or if you’re bad at verbal then take a verbal course.

Hi 2118kool,

I agree with much of what has been said. To start, you should consider taking either one full course, or perhaps using one course for quant and one course for verbal. Also, since you are just starting out with your GMAT prep, would you like any general advice on how to improve your quant and verbal skills?
