Hi fibonan,
To answer your immediate questions: YES - the online version of the Official Guide does include all of the questions in the book (as well as some additional practice questions) and the explanations.
From what you describe, it sounds as though you are early-on in your studies. Have you taken any practice CATs/mocks yet? If not, then it would be a good idea to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test sometime soon (perhaps a week or so from now); you can access 2 for free at
www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). That score will give us a good sense of your natural strengths and weaknesses and will help provide a basis for comparison as you continue to study. A FULL CAT takes about 3.5 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have that Score, you should report back here (or you can feel free to PM me directly) and we can discuss the results and come up with a study plan.
Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
Studies:
1) How long have you studied so far? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
