Hello everyone,
I have 12 years of experience completely into IT currently working on a technical role in MNC. I want to write GMAT exams and switch my career from IT(technical role) to Management role . I would like to understand chances of getting calls from good colleges like IIMA and ISB in India, and though I get calls, will my 12 years of experience in IT(technical) will be a barrier to get it through?

Don't they have emba programs? I know ISB has a program for people with 10yrs of exp.
but they did accept a friend of mine to the analytics program(he worked in a tech role for 10yrs before that). And now he is in a management role.

You're ultimately asking Admissions questions, so you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

1) When are you planning to apply to School? If it's sometime soon, then what specific application deadlines are you considering?
2) Have you started studying for the GMAT yet? If not, then do you plan to start studying sometime soon?
