yes your total attempts to GMAT can be viewed by adcom.
But only highest score is considered for evaluation purposes.

Hi crayon,

I think they will see just what you sent them, but I would reach out to GMAC to get a definitive answer to this question. If you give them a call and get an answer, please provide an update here.

Hi, Thank you for your reply. Are you suggesting that they will see all the scores? As far as I am concerned, they will only see the one that you sent. But I am unsure if they will see the number of attempts you made using that account.

Hi! Thank you for your reply. I've consulted several of my friends and they said that the schools will only see the score you sent. But my question was will the report show the "number of attempts you made/number of GMAT online tests you sat" using that account?

Hi! Thank you and I totally got that. But my question is will they see the number of attempts from the report? Thank you!
Hi crayon,

I think schools aren't normally very worried about the number of attempts, but to answer your question: I don't think they can see the number of attempts. I've seen school reports (for the test center test), and they do include a lot of information. However, a school can tell that a test taker took the GMAT multiple times only because the columns for additional attempts aren't empty. These columns aren't populated for canceled scores, and I don't remember seeing a field called "number of attempts" or something like that.

I don't think GMAC has changed this for the online test, and so I don't think your target schools will be able to see the number of times you've taken the GMAT.

I don't believe it will, but again, I'd call GMAC just to confirm.
