Will HBS Announce Its New Essay Topic for 2016-2017 on May 15?
At this time of the year, many candidates contact us and ask when we expect HBS to announce its new application requirements, including its essay topics. The date of May 15 looms large in their minds, because that is when HBS announced its new essay topic last year. Indeed, HBS was one of the first top MBA programs to announce its new essay requirement last year, so that created a lot of excitement.
You can never predict year-to-year when HBS will announce its new application requirements, but May 2016 is a good bet, because each year HBS is among the first schools to release this information and over the past few years, HBS has announced this information earlier and earlier in the year.
This year, however, Columbia beat HBS to become one of the first to provide excited applicants with its new application requirements for 2016-2017. You can see that information here:
