I am pretty sure that Yale and Tuck look at the best disaggregated scores. Based on the non-scientific but logical essay advice piece posted by Rhyme and written by someone who either served on a top ten adCom (or is at least initmately familiar with the process), taking it more than twice starts to hurt the credibility of your best score.
http://www.gmatclub.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=39233That being said, I took it twice and my best quant was 46 and my best verbal 45. For **** and giggles, what is my modified "total"? 720? 730?
Has anyone gotten a 46Q45V?
Correct, Yale and Tuck are willing to evaluate applicants based on their highest individual subsector scores; however, they will not recalculate total score based on the highest subsectors.
Also, I believe the general consensus is that ad comms begin to have concerns if applicants take the GMAT more than three times. If you take it three times or less, IMO you are fine.
