Update : 31st Oct, 2023 : Received my official score on my mba[dot]com profile . Getting everything resolved over a call to Pearson was easy and fast. The customer support team was understanding and super helpful.
Original Post : 29th Oct, 2023 : I had a weird situation in the test center exam on Oct 22nd. The computer got disconnected for 3 minutes in the middle of my test. The invigilator shifted me to a different computer. I must say, I did not lose any time, as I was able to restart from the time when the exam was disconnected. I ended up scoring a 720 ( Q 49 V 40 IR 7). It indeed is a score that I do not want to lose. This was my 3rd attempt at GMAT.
I have not received any email from Pearson that my test is under administrative review, or that my score will be canceled for technical reasons.
As of today ( Oct 29th), it has been 1 week already ( 5 business days ), but I am yet to receive my official score on my mba[dot]com profile.
I called my test centre today ( Oct 29th), enquiring if everything was alright with my test. The test center guys mentioned that they had raised a case with Pearson on the day of my examination, informing Pearson that there was a temporary disconnection in the middle of the examination. However, they advised me not to worry as the case's status appears as "Closed" in their system. I further inquired if there was a chance that the score might get canceled, to which they replied: "No Sir, there is nothing to worry about".
I am worried that GMAC might cancel my test score, for no fault of my own. GMAT attempts take a lot of time for preparation and a lot of psychological readiness. Getting a score canceled for no fault of my own is the absolute last thing that I want in my life. It is also the time that I want to focus on my essays and R2 deadlines.
