Will Wharton EMBA Extend the February 7, 2018 Deadline?
The answer to this frequently-asked question is given directly on Wharton’s website:
"Submitting Your Application
TIMING
You may begin your online application at any time during the admissions process, and you can continue to edit and add to your information before you submit the completed application. You have until midnight PT on the day of the deadline to complete your online application.
Any materials you submit in hard copy (e.g. official transcripts and letter of sponsorship) must arrive in our office by 5 p.m. on the day of the deadline.
You can request a deadline extension if you have a compelling reason for needing one by contacting the office to which you’re applying."
We at MBA Admit.com believe you should push hard to make the deadline, but if this simply is not possible, we have seen cases in which Wharton has extended the deadline for a candidate and this did not hurt the candidate’s chances at success. In other cases, the essays and supporting materials were all submitted by the deadline, but the recommendations were accepted days later. Let those sorts of options, though, be your last resort. Although it is nice to know that at times those can be options, it is best practice to try to meet the designated deadline.
