Let's say that we have a starting value of X...
100% of X = X
100% MORE than X = X + X = 2X
200% MORE than X = X + 2X = 3X
300% MORE than X = X + 3X = 4X
Etc.
Here, we're told that 180,000 customers live in rural areas and the number who live in urban areas is 200% GREATER than the number who live in rural areas. That means that the number who are in urban areas is 3 times the number in rural areas...
3(180,000) = 540,000

Given:
180,000 of customers live in rural areas.
Number of customers in urban areas is 200 percents grater than numbers of customers in rural areas
This means that the Number of customers in urban areas = 3*Number of customers in rural areas
(200% more means twice more that the current value
200% more than 10 = 10 + 200% of 10 = 10 +20 = 30
Hence we have tripled the number.)
Required: Number of customers in urban areas
Number of customers in urban areas = 3*Number of customers in rural areas
Number of customers in urban areas = 3*18000 = 54000
