My last choice for school as a backup I have yet to interview, the morning I was supposed to interview with them I suffered a concussion and never rescheduled it. In that time I interviewed with all the other schools I applied to and even have one admit so far so this last school I have no intention of even going to now. Do I just send an e-mail to them saying I want to withdraw my application? I figure that would be better than just leaving it alone and doing nothing.

Yes I would write them an email to withdraw the application. It will not hurt to be polite with your back up school.

Another question.... I decided to wait to apply for fall 2008 at my first choice school. I already have an online application started for fall 2007 but nothing has been submitted. Does anyone think I need to go out of my way to explain that at this point or just wait until the 2008 application becomes available and start over?

Just wait and fill out the new application form. They won't even read the one you are working on right now. Remember: you haven`t paid the application fee yet :-)
