Dear Shashi,
It is important that we discuss the entire case and not just a mere event. The complete story is that you have been using the
e-GMAT course extensively and have claimed that the study plan and methodology prescribed to you have not worked for you. Even during an hour-long one-on-one session, you blamed us and refused to follow the modified plan. In addition, we exchanged
many emails, and we refunded your purchase once
it was clear that you plan to ignore our advice and go towards a path that (IMO) will not help you succeed. Please note that the accusatory and derogatory language that you used during your call with DJ and during our email interactions had little bearing on our decision. In addition, I personally recorded a video showing data, comparing your access to that of 1788 students to prove that you need private tutoring. I am copying the same email below. Note, I am not sharing the link to the video since it contains your email address.
Please note that we cannot be the right company for everyone. Every so often we get a student (approx. One in a thousand) who is not the right fit for our offering. At that point, we reserve the right to refuse service and offer a full refund which is what we have done in your case.

Dear Shashi,
We exist to help our customers succeed. Our customers succeed when they trust us, trust our methods, and follow our prescribed path. We also have a relationship of mutual respect with our students which is why they feel comfortable calling upon us even when they get admission to a B school and we do the same.
From our interaction starting from your inputs during the free session on Saturday to your feedback and attitude during that one-on-one consultation with Dhananjay to the content of the email you just sent, it is clear that we are not in sync. What is also clear is that you don’t respect our methods and methodologies or inputs from our GMAT strategy consultants. Given these data points combined with the fact that you plan to improve from 380 to 780, which is better than the 99th percentile, we don’t see a fruitful path forward for you, given that you don’t want to follow our methods or respect our feedback.
Hence, to do justice to your chances of success, after due internal consultation, we have issued a
full refund. You may find success with other courses that do not provide a personalized study plan or do not have as passionate a customer success team and hence require that you figure your study strategy.
Good luck!!
Regards,
Rajat Sadana
