Wondering if anyone had any info whether I should just go ahead and purchase them, or if I can get them after 200+ posts. I know I will have to get them eventually to improve my quantitative score.

I did ask the same question Praetorian few days ago. You do get free access but that takes atleast 250 post and 3 months. Moreover those 250 posts should be quality post and not just posting anything.
Try to answer post rather than making your own question, however even I am still waiting for it. But I guess in the way I am learning a lot by replying to other people posts. That in itself is so enriching.
Definitely once you have free access you should keep on contributing to forum and not just for the heck of free access.
Be an active honest member and you may probably end up having the same.

thanks again abhijit. It is very enriching indeed to post on here. I hope to keep posting for many years to come. I am closing in on 250, and I hope my posts qualify as "quality".
