Looking through my submitted Wharton essays, I also noticed a missing word or two. I'm trying to follow my own advice of not sweating it. I can see some situation where an error would be glaring and poorly reflective on a candidate, such as misspelling your name on the resume or putting in a reference to the wrong school in an essay, but I really don't think that an isolated error would cause an app to be rejected. If that is the case, then that type of zero defect mentality might not be a good fit for me anyways.

Seriously guys, this will have no bearing whatsoever on your admission unless it is prevalent. I had plenty of mistakes in my essays - what counts is quality of stories, not whether you have a typo.
