hello,

I am Indian female my GMAT score is 710(retaking it) and my GPA by WES evaluation is 3.85/4.0.I have 1 year work experience in IT start up and 2 years as asst manager in Indian government bank, my work in bank includes supervision of 5 clerks, cash management in branch, credit analyst, loan processing. While coming to selectivity of my job every year government of India selects only 1% of the applied graduates for this job. My question is whether this work experience good in terms of us b schools?

thanks & regards.

Hello there!
Thanks for writing! Well, to tell the truth I'd need a biiit more detail on what you do and your progress, but the short of it is that your experience is pretty good - working in banking as a female, with very good grades and a very nice GMAT! You are off to a good start.

Best,
Jon

Hello again,
Well, once again I'd need more detail. I think if your school is good you should be to hit some schools in the 10-25 range. Your experience is fine. On the good side you have some leadership, on the challenging side, retail banking is not necessarily a preferred industry. But if you have some good volunteer work, some good extras, and write beautiful essays, I don't see why you should not be able to get into a top 10-25 school.

I hope this helps!
Best,
JF
