Ved3:
Responding to your questions:
Q: Is there any disadvantage in regards to securing a job with only work ex of 3 years as opposed to more?
A: There is no disadvantage. The most common years of work experience at top MBA programs is between 3 and 6 years after completing undergraduate studies. An extra year of experience can be beneficial if you use it wisely. That might include earning a promotion/gaining more responsibilities at work, building out your extracurricular activities, retaking the GMAT/GRE, etc.
Is there any disadvantage to securing school?
A: I am not sure what you mean. Can you rephrase?
How would my age play into the culture of the B-schools?
A: You would fit right in based on my response to the first question. You'd probably be on the slightly younger side, but by no means not of the norm.
Based on what you have described above, I would consider waiting a year rather than rushing the GMAT retake and your R2 applications. It does become slightly more challenging to apply as a reapplicant especially from R2 of the previous year to R1 of the next year.
