Dear Admission Consultants,
At the moment I'm preparing for the GMAT test and unfortunately I read something alarming. B-Schools recognize work experience only after college graduation.
In my case(I'm 29) I started college at the age of 24 when I studied Finance in Greece with a 3.80 GPA. From the age of 20-29 I have been working in the media industry as a Producer, where I led many TV Productions for National Networks to great success(that's how I discovered my passion for business but still needed 3 years to raise the funds. No loans available in my country due to our bankruptcy and IMF monitoring). In my career I have also presented TV Shows for MTV and Nickelodeon(mostly educational how to use internet safely for kids, ages 8-14).
Prior to my college studies I attended the Greek University 2 years as an electrical engineer but it wasn't for me, so I started my business career in the Media Industry.
Does my work experience not count and will I be disqualified from B-Schools for that reason? I graduated last June and I will apply for an MBA this September.
Thank you
