Hello,
I'll be graduating from undergrad in May 2010 and I'll be turning 25 years old that summer. At that point I'll have five years of experience in my current job (systems administrator) and 8+ years of IT experience. I'd like to work full time in IT consulting for about 2.5 years after I graduate in May 2010 and then quit. For 2-2.5 years after I quit IT consulting, I'd like to finish climbing the seven summits, including Everest.
Once I'm finished climbing, I want to obtain an MBA from a school like Darden or Duke. I would be 29 years old when I apply and 30 years old when I begin my MBA courses. When I apply at age 29, I'll only have 2.5 years of work experience post college graduation. Is that enough experience for a school like Darden or Duke?
My fear is that I wont be taken seriously by business schools when I apply because I'll only have 2.5 years of work experience post college.
Thanks,
Lance
