This is Vinay V Krithik one of the MBA apirants from India . I wish to study abroad , for a more global exposure and network , before I come back to my home town to start my own venture.
Right now the status is that I completed my engeering in 2004.
1. Worked with Accenture for 1 year as software quality assurance ( SQA)
(2004-2005)
2. Currently working at a small company called Zicom , as Business Development Executive a work ex of 1 year(2005-2006)
I made the choice to switch away from accenture since I am looking at MBA ( Marketing ) .........
Now I am having to make a descision of quiting my job for 6 months to prepare for GMAT, and then apply by Jan( 2007) ......so if things go well , I am planning to research a job and add to my marketing resume with a job search after my GMAT examination ,else ...............I am going to apply with the work relevance stated above........
kindly advice on the step taken above !!!!!!!
And am I actually ameliorating my chances of making it thru in 2007 .........by this move of leaving job for sometime or not !!!!!!!!( I am doing that in the hope of improving the probability of scoring better in GMAT )
P.S how important is working for a big organization ( MNC as they put it in my land )

I am not sure if I following- Are you saying that you would quit your job and study the GMAT for several months before starting another job?

Hey I am soo sorry to have not put things perfectly in line .
I am going to give my GMAT , six months down the line . I have not yet quit the job , but am in a juncture where i am thinking of putting down my papers , being at home and giving GMAT a good shot . Hence improve my score .
I have not yet quit , but am in the process of making that descision. If I do so How am I placed ???????
Would my profile look sound in case of such a move ???
