How do B-schools view applicants that are from the US but are working abroad on a long term international assignment (i.e. couple of years)? Are you technically considered a domestic applicant or an international applicant? Does this present any potential complications?

I believe if you did your undergraduate in the US, you are grouped in the domestic applicant pool. However, if you are outside of the US, you will be grouped in the international interview pool. Schools sometimes sent out interview invites for the international applicants at a different time, and you are not required to do on-site interview.
