Hi I am in school for ma in counseling second year. I have a 3.7 gpa 3.8 undergrad (psychology). I have worked as a multi unit operations manager at a large fast food restaurant for two years. I was thinking I should put in another year and do anything else to boost my chances such as taking a couple business classes and maybe calc 2 (I've taken through calc 1). Would getting my cma help at all?
To be honest with you, I don't think it will help all that much. I would much rather see you sink the time and money that getting that certification would take and spend it on GMAT prep. Bumping your score 40 points would be worth much more. Of course, that is all assuming you want to go to business school then stay in your current field where the certification would matter.
