A better answer would have been "not entirely...but I'm looking into loan options" which doesn't accidentally imply you would only attend if you get scholarship dough and are thus a prima donna! As said above, chances are it was need blind so you don't need to worry.

Surprised that a top 20 school was recruiting you and not the other way round. That's not to dispute your credentials at all, just that these schools get so many top applicants who ran their own hedge funds, served as congressmen, recovered from then cured cancer and invented social networking. All before breakfast. Maybe you read to much into their communications with you in the first place?

Again, this is not BW forum and I'm not trying to insult or take away from your candidacy in any way - I just can't picture even the most talented candidates being "recruited" by top 20 schools.

God only knows if it's actually a top 20 school, on Business Week it was, but not for a ton of other lists ;)

And their communiques were clearly recruiting me, so I'm just wondering what I screwed up because I thought this one was a definite gimme!

Thanks for the help guys!

I answered the same way as you. If I did not get a fellowship would I be able to fund my education at ND? No, I wouldn't. That's a fact and it's the truth. Why lie?

If they are need blind like they claim, it shouldn't be a factor.
