D cannot be the answer to #3; just because the scientists disagree on the number of intelligences, it doesn't mean that multiple intelligence theory is flawed. As long as they all agree that # of intelligences > 1, it's good to go.

E... there is nothing said or implies about stronger biological evidence. In fact, Gardner's theory (multiple intelligences) is backed by biological evidences as well.

The author talked about biological evidences for the Gardner’s theory, and in the next sentence he inroduced a new theory backed by observations. Hence that theory will be stronger if scientists back it up by discovering biological evidence

E - The single intelligence model is based on the idea of one general intelligence, known as positive manifold or simply g. ..... Individuals with faster reaction times or neural processing speeds have higher IQs, suggesting that neural processing speed is equivalent to the one general intelligence.

1. A - "The single intelligence model is based on the idea of one general intelligence, known as positive manifold or simply g. Perhaps the most convincing evidence in support of this theory is the fact that individuals who perform well on tests of one cognitive ability also perform well on tests of a second cognitive ability. For example, those who do well on verbal tests also do well on mathematics tests, and vice versa. Another argument in support of the general intelligence theory is the strong positive correlation between intelligent quotient, or IQ, as measured by psychometric tests, and reaction time."
