Hi experts,
I wanted to know , does writing GMAT 4 to 5 times hamper the application process?? As the college may ask why did you write GMAT so many times??

Generally, it has no influence. Please be also aware that the worldwide average of GMAT trials is 2.9 anyway.
If you have taken the GMAT and are not satisfied with the results I would recommend to take a GMAT course with a score improvement guarantee. By that you will either improve your score or get your money back! I hope this helps.

Number of times you take GMAT is not a make-or-break factor but it does have an impact on the overall outlook of your app if your score doesn't increase with attempts. You work hard and retake GMAT to get a better score and actually get it - shows determination, you don't get it - hints at lack of dedication.
I would actually prefer
500 - 550 - 600 - 650
to
640 - 660 - 630 - 650
So if you do want to retake a fourth or a fifth time, ensure that you WILL improve your score. Work hard and don't stop till you don't get your target score in the mocks repeatedly.
