Damm...still no interview invite from Yale and was just informed today that Fuqua also didn't invite me for an interview, I'm gettin really worried about my Yale application now.....sigh....

Same boat as you. I wasn't invited by Fuqua either. I am getting nervous about Yale now. I have an interview coming up at Johnson Cornell, but my confidence is at its lowest after seeing "Not Invited" from Fuqua today.

I see but hey, at least you got an invite from Johnson which means theres at least real hope, I still got nothing from all the schools I applied to lol

SOM isn't done yet. Keep in mind their deadline was Jan 9 and some of the applications weren't complete till Jan 10 since they extended the video questions deadline.
Also, they waited 2 weeks after that to receive GMAT scores from applicants.

If in 2 weeks time you haven't received anything, that would be the time to worry.

I am wondering what is the percentage of people that are invited to interview at Yale SOM? And from there, the percentage that get admitted?

I believe, and aerien or one of the other current YSOM students can correct me here, that Yale interviews 30% of applicants and then accepts roughly 40-50% of those interviewed.

Someone back in round 1 posted a link to a poets and quants article that mentioned the percentages. I don't remember them off the top of my head, but there was an interesting article with the dean.

Good to hear.

I interviewed last week (off campus) with a member of the adcom, and it was a really pleasant experience (went 10m over but felt like it flew by). There were a few "structured questions" but it was mostly the two of us just having a conversation about the school and the program.

I interviewed today and I'm happy to say that it was incredibly "low threat". Very conversational with no real difficult questions. If anyone has any particular questions, feel free to ask.

When I logged into the online account https://admissions.som.yale.edu/apply/ today, I saw the status 'Submitted'.

Should it be 'Under Review'? To be honest I am losing hope...

I read on an earlier post that re-applicants that interviewed last year wouldn't be invited to interview again this year. Is this true?

The "Submitted" status never changes, even once you receive an interview invitation or complete an interview. When you open up your application, the following activities will show up as you receive/schedule/complete an interview.

RECENT ACTIVITIES
Date Details
02/10/2014 Interview Complete
01/17/2014 Interview Scheduled: 02.10.2014 (1:00 PM)
01/17/2014 Interview Requested
01/09/2014 Payment Received: 225.00 USD
Application Fee

Hope this helps - don't lose hope!!! There is still plenty of time.

No questions on the interview, but did you do a full day on campus? If so, I'd love to hear how you found your overall experience. Did you get to sit in on a class? What was that like? What vibe did you get from students and professors? Did you feel like you got a good sense of the culture there?
