Columbia Business School is generally harder to get into than Yale SOM. Columbia is higher ranked and is located in New York City.
Even though Yale commands high GRE/GMAT scores and GPA and has a significantly smaller class size, Columbia is considered part of the M7 schools whereas Yale is on the outside looking in. Yale has done so admirable work in building its relatively young business school program, but it still has a long way to go to crack into this upper echelon.
FWIW, Columbia also offers an Early Decision option should you know you want to commit to Columbia if accepted. That may give you a slight advantage in the admissions process.
If you are deciding between the two programs, good luck. They are both fantastic programs and will open up many doors for you in your career.

Columbia's admission rate is 16%, Yale's admission rate is not published on their profile but it is usually around 20%-21%.
You can also see Columbia's average GMAT is a bit higher.
However, when you are trying to select a program, you should take other factors into consideration, such as personal fit, specializations and your career goals.
In general (but probably not right now...), a campus visit is a good way to find out if you will be a good fit to this school. Another factor is the program's Specializations that can have an impact on your career.
