I am currently a T2 consultant and was fortunate to be accepted without scholarship to Yale and Stern this year.
My post-mba goal is to work at FAANG as a PM, long-term is entrepreneurship.
Yale and Stern are both fantastic school but I am worried about their poor tech recruiting numbers, especially in PM positions compared to other schools. I am also a bit reluctant to take out so much loans if it won't help me land my short term goals.
I was also recently offered a PM position at a late stage start-up (~1B valuation based on latest round of funding).
Given my goals, would it make sense to work as a PM for a year and just re-apply next year to a Kellogg/Booth/Sloan (currently on WL) or should I matriculate at Yale/Stern? Will admissions for those schools be any easier?
