Its actually quite simple. I have attached a doc with the picture showing different angles

1) Implies angles RQS and RSQ are equal
2) Impleie TSU and TUS are equal

Sum of angles of PQSU should be 360

So, 90 + x + 180-b + 180-a = 360
implies x-a-b = -90

And x+a+b = 180 because RST is a straight line
hence 2x=90 or x=45

Answer C
