Yesterday, 4 friends were selling waffles in a stall. Did any of them manage to sell at least 3 waffles?
(1) The total waffles sold yesterday were more 13.
(2) All friend sold at most 5 waffles and all of them sold a different number of waffles.
Condition to check any of the four friends sold 3 waffles.
(1) The total waffles sold yesterday were more 13.
We will try to push the situation that none of them sold 3 waffles.
Which is possible when all 4 friends sold only 2 waffles each which leads to sum = 8 waffles but the waffles sold is more than 13. So at least one of them sold more than 3 waffles.
Sufficient.(2) All friend sold at most 5 waffles and all of them sold a different number of waffles.
We will try to push the situation that none of them sold 3 waffles.
So the least number of waffles sold with this condition can be 0, 1, 2 & 3
So yes at least one of them sold at least 3 waffles.
Sufficient.A is sufficient B is sufficient.
D is the answer.
