Having seen the Ferrari 458 in person, it is one sexy car (although in terms of looks I still think they did it best with the 360). The Nissan GT-R plays a similar role to the Honda/Acura NSX in the 1990s -- it keeps the other supercars honest.
As they have acknowledged, they haven't tested the new McLaren or Lambo -- but my guess is the Ferrari still edges them out overall. Ferrari has really come around in the last few years - seems like they are *finally* taking a cue from the Germans and Japanese and focusing on manufacturing and quality (as opposed to just focusing on design/performance... and then losing interest when it comes to manufacturing). The new Ferraris (430, 458, California, etc.) are actually reliable enough to be daily drivers without compromising performance (in fact the performance has only improved).
