What is your dream car you are secretly hoping one day you will be able to afford ?
I am realistically hoping for a Porsche, but secretly believe I would be able to one day buy a Bentley ;)

If you're at a point where you can afford a "dream car", it's no longer about wanting just *one*, but a *fleet* of dream cars for the entire family.

Daily drivers:
- my current car
- Aston Martin DB9
- Mercedes Benz G500

Weekenders/pleasure:
- Porsche 911 GT2
- Ferrari 360, 430 or the 458 Italia
- Mercedez Benz SLS AMG

Concours/garage queens:
- Porsche 959
- 1960s Shelby Cobra
- Pagani Zonda
- McLaren F1
- Bugatti Veyron

When you get to a point where you can afford it/them, the even bigger hurdle is whether your wife will let you buy it/them. :)

The thing is that you listed the most expensive cars ;)
Just a thought.. whats the point of buying a $1.2 million Bugatti Veyron, when you can buy a $220k Lamborghini Gallardo :)
Nevertheless, the best thing is to be able to afford a nice Porsche Cayenne / BMW X6 for the family , and a Ferrari Italia for yourself :)

I still drive my '95 Lincoln Towncar. I think a Toyota Camry sounds pretty good right about now.

Having seen the Ferrari 458 in person, it is one sexy car (although in terms of looks I still think they did it best with the 360). The Nissan GT-R plays a similar role to the Honda/Acura NSX in the 1990s -- it keeps the other supercars honest.

As they have acknowledged, they haven't tested the new McLaren or Lambo -- but my guess is the Ferrari still edges them out overall. Ferrari has really come around in the last few years - seems like they are *finally* taking a cue from the Germans and Japanese and focusing on manufacturing and quality (as opposed to just focusing on design/performance... and then losing interest when it comes to manufacturing). The new Ferraris (430, 458, California, etc.) are actually reliable enough to be daily drivers without compromising performance (in fact the performance has only improved).

I'd like to have a 458 (or whatever Ferrarri's v8 is at the time) for weekends, and a M3 & Range Rover for daily.

and a track rat (lotus exige, ariel atom, etc) :twisted:
