Hi Friends,
I need a small help from you'll folks. I am asking these questions to you'll because we all are at same stage, preparing for gmat test.
This is my third attempt, to start seriously working on my gmat, in last 6 months or so. Every time I start working on it, some obstacle comes along my way, i lose my focus and you know what happens. Currently, I am going through a phase of huge confusion as what I should be doing, Should I realy persue MBA ?
I know you'll might think that this is so weird but this is it. Let me brief you on my background.
I have been working as an IT consultant past 3.5 years and at this stage the above question is bothering my mind becuase i am not able to decide should I go on doing technical development work or should i start focusing on management part of it and the main reason for this is I love programming. I can't say I am very good at it but I realy enjoy coding stuffs. But at the same time I think i will have to raise my bar at some point of time, I can't code my entire life .. i know its not gonna take me anywhere. So, this is the dillema. What do you'll guys think i should be doing? I believe I am not the only person thinking this way. Your any inputs will increase my focus gmat study and ofcourse my determination to achieve it.
Second, I was wondering if there are courses in schools targeted to IT management or related field, which i can persue and move to architect and eventually Technology officer position. which can involve things like Planning IT at strategic level, key position in driving IT future of the co, moving from development and operational role to more strategic role in IT without losing my programming fantasy etc. Are there any courses geared towards these objectives? Your any help is heartly appreciated.
Thanks alot!
