I'm just curious. How many of you wrote what you ACTUALLY want to do in the future as your goals and how many of you wrote what "fit" best with your story?

I was surprised at the number of students I met who freely admitted they bullshitted, and I know of at least two or three here who did.

Haha, same here. Almost everyone I talked to (admitted and prospective students) said they aren't as certain as they claimed in their essays.

I'd say as I wrote and polished the essays I realized that those goals sound pretty damn sweet.

My goals are a likely path I might follow, although I am definitely researching different industries and planning to start school with an open mind.

I really am serious about opening a bordello in Ithaca. I described the many aspects of my plan and fully intend to carry it out. I think my passion really came through, and it seems to be paying off.

And actually, I think my ding from Yale was related to a recent upsurge in applicants wanting to go into the sex industry. It's difficult to differentiate yourself among so many outstanding candidates from the field.
