Zeno's Unfinished Furniture sells exactly five types of furniture-footstools, hutches, sideboards, tables, and vanities. Irene buys just four items, each of a different type, and each made entirely of one kind of wood-maple, oak, pine, or rosewood. The following conditions govern Irene's purchases:
Any vanity she buys is maple.
Any rosewood item she buys is a sideboard.
If she buys a vanity, she does not buy a footstool.

If Irene does not buy any maple products, then she will not buy a vanity because of the rule that states, "Any vanity she buys is maple".
This leaves three of the types of wood (oak, pine and rosewood), all of which will be purchased as two of the four items will be made from the same type of wood, leave two items and two types of wood.
The four remaining items are: footstools, hutches, sideboards and tables.
*The sideboard will be made of rosewood given the rule, "Any rosewood item she buys is a sideboard".
*The footstool and the table will be the same type of wood because of the rule that states, "If lrene buys a footstool, she also buys a table made of the same wood". However, the two items cannot be made of oak as one of the rules specifies "Irene does not buy an oak table". This means that the table and the footstool will be pine, leaving the hutch to be made of pine.
All of the answer choices are true, except for choice (B).

If the table and the footstool are made from Pine and the rule states that "Exactly two of the items she buys are made of the same kind of wood", can a third item i.e. Hutch be made of Pine?
